Church Forward / 2025
Vitality Mapping Platform
A web-based church assessment and coaching platform combining leader assessments, anonymous congregational feedback, reporting, and practical next steps in one system.
Public-facing experience

Context
Vitality Mapping was created for Church Forward to bring church leader assessments, anonymous congregational feedback, reporting, and coaching into a single system. It helps churches understand their current health, see their context more clearly, and identify practical next steps while giving each participant an appropriate role-specific workspace.
Problem
Churches often measure the things that are easiest to count rather than the things that most clearly reveal health and vitality. Church Forward needed a trustworthy way to collect leader and congregational input, protect data ownership, translate results into a consistent model, and keep the insight connected to an ongoing coaching relationship.
Approach
We shaped the assessment architecture around seven areas of church vitality and six contextual segments. Leader responses and anonymous congregational feedback feed a shared reporting model, allowing results to become a foundation for interpretation, conversation, and practical coaching rather than a one-time score.
Design
The interface pairs a calm, confident visual system with direct language, generous spacing, and clear hierarchy. Marketing, assessment, reporting, and role-specific dashboard views feel like one continuous product, giving a data-rich coaching tool the simplicity and warmth its audience needs.
Engineering
Multi-role workspaces serve church leaders, assessors, and association leaders while clear permission controls determine which churches, results, and actions each person can access. Automated reporting combines assessment and feedback data, preserves church-level ownership, and carries the results forward into a structured coaching workflow.
Outcome
The finished platform gives churches and the people who support them a shared language for vitality across seven areas and six contextual segments. Assessment data, anonymous feedback, automated reporting, and coaching now operate as one connected workflow for understanding current health and choosing practical next steps.
